Manteo Mitchell broke his leg halfway through the opening lap of the men’s 4 x 400m prelims at the London Olympics and KEPT RUNNING. His team went on to set a record breaking time, unknown to them that he had broken his leg at the very start of the race.
Brett Lorin (former pro baseball player) had his sights set on the major leagues – but after 7 years in the minors, the call never came.
